Synchronised Power Solutions Prepared for Remote Oil & Gas Operations
Genelite recently completed the preparation of a synchronised generator package featuring two GC500S generators, engineered to support Oil & Gas operations in remote Western Australia.

The customer-supplied a bolster container that served as a heavy-duty skid base, allowing both generators to be mounted. The project highlights the practical customisation often required across large-scale industrial applications where transportability, reliability, and operational flexibility are critical.
Configured with ComAp IG500 controllers and motorised breakers, the system has been designed for intelligent paralleling operation, allowing the generators to efficiently share load while providing dependable continuous power and built-in redundancy for site operations.
Designed for Harsh Remote Conditions
Remote Oil & Gas operations place significant pressure on onsite power infrastructure. From accommodation facilities and communications systems through to pumps, workshops, lighting, and critical operational equipment, reliable power plays a major role in maintaining day-to-day site continuity.
In isolated environments where conditions can include extreme temperatures, dust exposure, and challenging logistics, engineered power systems must be built not only for performance, but also for durability and long-term reliability.
Projects like this demonstrate the growing demand for scalable synchronised power solutions capable of adapting to changing site loads while maintaining reliable operation in harsh environments.
Paralleling Capability
By integrating an advanced ComAp controller and motorised breaker systems, the generators can operate together as a synchronised power solution, helping improve operational flexibility and load management across the site.
Paralleling systems like these can offer several operational advantages for industrial applications, such as:
- Improved redundancy and reliability
- Efficient load sharing between generators
- Better fuel efficiency during fluctuating demand
- Greater flexibility for changing site requirements
- Reduced stress on individual units during lower-load operation
Supporting Critical Australian Industries
Projects like these continue to highlight the importance of dependable engineered power systems across Australia’s heavy industries, particularly in sectors where operational continuity is essential and downtime can have major operational impacts.
From synchronised prime power packages through to standby infrastructure and remote site solutions, Genelite continues delivering reliable engineered power systems built for demanding Australian conditions.
Thank you to the team involved in the fabrication coordination, configuration, preparation, and testing of the project prior to deployment.
