Two Mine-Spec Generators Bound for Darwin
Two Genelite diesel generators have been prepared for a local hire company supporting civil, construction and mining projects across Darwin and the Northern Territory.
The order includes a 60kVA Cummins-powered GCM60S and a 23kVA Kubota-powered GK23S. Both generators were prepared in mine-spec configurations and fitted with upgraded outlet packages for greater flexibility across different hire applications.
Two Capacities for a Flexible Hire Fleet
The GCM60S delivers 60kVA prime and 66kVA standby power. It features a Cummins 4BTA3.9-G2 engine, Mecc Alte alternator and 280-litre bunded fuel tank, providing approximately 29 hours of operation at 75% load.
The more compact GK23S delivers 23kVA prime and 25.3kVA standby power. It combines a Kubota V2403-BG engine with a Leroy Somer alternator and 140-litre bunded fuel tank, providing approximately 34 hours of operation at 75% load.
Together, the two generators give the hire fleet practical options for lower-demand site requirements and larger three-phase equipment.
Prepared for Demanding Sites
Both units feature heavy-duty skid bases, silenced galvanised canopies and mine-spec preparation. Their upgraded outlet arrangements make them easier to deploy across different equipment, customers and project sites.
Mine-spec requirements can vary between operators, so each generator must be configured for the electrical and safety standards of its intended site.
Before dispatch, both generators were filled with fluids, load tested and function tested at Genelite’s Brisbane office.
